Mosman - Project Completed June 2007

Mosman - January 2007

This project began in late 2006 for Murano Walls in conjunction with Chris Brookes of Brookes Associates Architects.

The client had taken the time to investigate the many possibilities for this space, as it was quite a small room backing onto an enclosed courtyard, bringing along a portfolio of many pictures and ideas they desired for this enclosure.

Many solutions and design drawings were offered by Murano Walls to create the space and light befitting to this structure proposed by our client – “Unlocking their Vision”.

Mosman Project

A purpose built frame was erected for this particular project for the frameless glass sliding door and fixed glass enclosure to create the cathederal glass feature for this particular client.

Mosman Project

The Murano Walls feature coming to fruition.  The sliding door tracking are face mounted to the outside of the support structure.   This top rail is not visible from inside the building structure.

Mosman Project

The Murano Walls glass sliding door moves to the left hand side in this project creating a space opening of 2 metres wide with a height of 2.7 metres creating the cathederal feel.

Mosman Project

A unique feature of this Murano Walls project is the absence of any corner posts for the fixed glass.  This is achieved by the installation of a counter levered fixed beam supporting the glass above and the weight of the sliding door.

Mosman Project

As this project has only a small courtyard, the image of space has been achieved with this particular style of the cathederal glass by Murano Walls.
